The Beautiful Sixes
This is the latest six metre
yacht, from the board of Graham Bantock. The Rococo seen here was built by Henry
Farley in carbon/epoxy. This new six is a real beauty and does justice to this
elegant and popular class here in the UK. Early indications are that the design
is very competetive and may prove to be capable of ousting Graham's Rennaisance
design from the top spot in future regattas.
The Revival six metre yacht seen here was designed by Graham Bantock of SAILSetc in the early nineties. This boat was built from planked balsa and clad with glass cloth inside and out and has been on the water for seven years. It remains competetive. Owned and raced by David Smythe at the time, the boat was runner up to the new Rococco design in the club's 1999 Six Metre Championship.
